The site went down a couple of times in the last 3 weeks, as the server is being "cut off" from the network. Unfortunately, the underlying cause is still unclear.

As a temporary solution while the problem is still being diagnosed, I've added a routine check that will hopefully fix the issue automatically within 5-10 minutes of it occurring.
